HEART

"I will set aside my perceived duties and tasks today on a whim to follow my heart. In order to connect, I set aside my internal critic and allow my vulnerability to flood me. The necessary excitement will propel me closer to my dreams. Although scary, this will open me up to a flow of never-ending connection and possibility. I am open to connection today and take a chance on embracing the possibility of making room for myself and others. what is the path to your true heart?" By Patricia Popoff

She enjoys reading, travelling, renovating projects, a good meal, listening to music, and watching movies.

Janet Brietzke brings clarity, warmth, and a refreshingly honest approach to therapy. She enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and empowering individuals. With a natural ability to connect and a deep respect for each person’s story, she helps clients navigate life’s complexities with courage, curiosity, and self-trust.

Rooted in narrative therapy, Janet believes the stories we carry shape not just how we see ourselves, but what we believe is possible. She works collaboratively with clients to gently reframe limiting narratives, uncover personal strengths, and foster a sense of empowerment that feels authentic and lasting. Janet also incorporates emotional regulation and mindfulness to treat complex trauma. Janet’s style is direct yet deeply supportive—always aiming to help clients access their own inner wisdom rather than impose advice or direction.

Humour is a key part of the process. Sessions with Janet often include lightness and laughter, even in the midst of heavy work. She believes joy and healing go hand in hand, and that reconnecting with joy is a radical and essential part of recovery. Her presence offers safety without judgment—allowing clients to explore, process, and ultimately rewrite the beliefs that have held them back.

Janet's passion is to explore elements within nature and traveling.

Makenzie is a newly graduated social worker, somatic wellness facilitator, musician, and deeply curious human devoted to creating spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies, their stories, and their sense of belonging.

Rooted in a person-first, body-based approach, her work honors the intelligence of the nervous system and the power of presence. She believes that healing doesn’t require fixing — it asks for witnessing, compassion, and the courage to stay curious. Whether through movement, stillness, or creative exploration, Makenzie invites participants to meet themselves just as they are. She operates with the simple but profound belief that it only takes one caring person to make a lasting impact — and she aims to be that for others, just as others have been for her.

Because of this, Makenzie’s workshops are built on the foundation of community, empowerment, and trust — because we heal more fully when we’re not doing it alone. If you’re looking for a place to land, get curious, and come back home to your body, you are so welcome here.
